The ‘glas’ element of the brand’s name refers to the sapphire glass lens that is built into every watch that the brand creates. Fontaine chose this name for his brand to honour the strong history of German watchmaking. Core Features of the Sternglas Marus Collection: The Marus watches each feature a domed sapphire crystal to protect the dial. This has a double anti-reflective coating. All watches in the Marus collection have a date aperture at the 6 o'clock positioning. Each Marus watch has a quick-change strap system that allows the wearer to give their timepiece a new look whenever they please, no tools required. For extra precise timekeeping, there are also dot minute markers on the outer ring of the dial. Framing the dial is a polished 316L stainless steel case.
