Founded in 1994, the independent Swiss watch company Ikepod is a legend of contemporary watchmaking. By boldly increasing watch dial size and promoting excellent craftsmanship, the brand has created several trends within the horological world. While the brand has been refreshed, it remains true to its core DNA.
Created by famed designers, Ikepod watches are defined by their spaceship case shape and instead of the usual lugs, the strap is inserted into the Pod itself. With a large portfolio and a range of unique designs, there is an Ikepod watch for all. The Chronopod Collection draws inspiration straight from the Hemipode line from the 1990s.
Although the dial design is quite traditional, the original Ikepod spirit still inhabits the entire timepiece. Core Features of the Chronopod Collection: Each watch is inspired by Ikepod’s original Horizon collection. Ikepod loves music, so the name of each model is related to a song.
Sapphire glass, with an anti-reflective coating, protects the dial of each Chronopod. The crown of each model features the iconic Hemipode “2008” logo. The pushers on the side of each watch feature an orange lacquer effect.
Each Chronopod has a water resistance that makes it suitable for everyday wear. A Japanese chrono quartz movement powers each watch. Model Specifications C009-SI-LB: This Alive 2018 model features a stainless steel case that measures 44mm in diameter.
The brushed steel dial is adorned with silver baton indices and white hands outlined in silver. The sub-dial hands are all white. A date aperture is featured between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions.
The watch is secured with a black silicone strap that fastens with an ardillon buckle. The watch is water-resistant up to 50 metres (5 bar). Movement type - Miyota JS 25 Chronograph Quartz.
