Swiss brand Alpina is a brand with a long and proud history, originating in 1883 when Gottlieb Hauser innovated the first watches based on the vision of the "Alpinist Principle." The goal was to create watches of the highest Swiss quality and with the highest level of innovation. The brand continued its tradition-rich history but suffered during the quartz crisis from 1970 to 2000, after which Frederique Constant's owners rescued the brand and further developed the watches into what they are today: Swiss quality and innovation in the brand's historical designs.
